Task
Resize a signature to under 20 KB
Many application portals ask for a signature image under 20 KB. Scanned signatures are usually far larger, so the upload is rejected before you can submit.
This page is pre-set for a 20 KB JPG signature. Drop your file in, see what fails, and download a version that fits — the file never leaves your device.

Step by step
Scan or photograph your signature
Sign on white paper and scan it, or take a well-lit photo from directly above.
Crop close to the ink
Trim away extra white space so the signature fills the frame; this keeps it sharp at a small size.
Drop it into the checker below
The tool reads the size and format and shows what needs to change.

Example
Before
Scanned signature, 1200×400 px PNG, 480 KB
After
Cropped JPG, 600×200 px, about 15 KB
Still rejected? Troubleshooting
- The signature looks faint after compressing
- Increase contrast before uploading, or crop tighter so more of the frame is ink rather than background.
- The form still rejects the file
- Confirm the exact limit — some forms want under 10 KB or a specific pixel width. Adjust the requirements and re-run.
Private by design. Your file is read and fixed entirely in your browser — it is never uploaded. You can verify this yourself.
